Just thought of sharing this before I retire for the day. As the title suggests, and following my earlier post on memorizing skills, apparently certain type of food (the nutrition in it) will help us to boost memory power. Listed are the most common nutrition and the source of food that is believed to be able to sharpen your memory. Thanks to the book written by Shakuntala Devi entitled: Super Memory it can be Yours!
- Any food that contains the B-complex group can enhance your memory effectively. Particularly B6 – Brown rice, wheat, soya beans, spinach, potatoes, cauliflower, walnuts, bananas, prunes, and raisins.
- Iron plays an important role in maintaining the alertness of the brain – kidney beans, green gram, turnip, melons, currants, dates, apricots, milk and milk products
- Other types of food including barley, capsicum, pineapples, eggs, fish, ladies fingers, brinjals, pomegranates, papayas, guavas, and oranges.
The key still remains the same. A balanced diet. Stay fit, be healthy, move about (in other words, don’t be a couch potato!!) . An active mind is a healthy mind.
